I am an accredited counsellor with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, having gained a First Class Honours degree in counselling in 2002. I am also an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner.
My wide-ranging experience includes working in fields such as addiction, family therapy and a GP practice; I have been a counselling tutor; and I’m experienced in both short-term solution-focused therapy and long-term work.
Having a musical background has given me an area of expertise in performance-related problems such as traumatic events and stage fright.
I specialise in psychodynamic counselling. To find out how this method works in practice, click here.
In addition, I use a relatively new branch of counselling known as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. To learn more about EMDR, click here.
