I am an accredited psychotherapist with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, having gained a First Class Honours degree in counselling in 2002. I am also an EMDR Europe Accredited Consultant.
My wide-ranging experience includes working in fields such as addiction, family therapy and a GP practice; I have been a counselling tutor; and I’m experienced in both short-term solution-focused therapy and long-term work.
Having a musical background has given me an area of expertise in performance-related problems such as traumatic events and stage fright.
My initial training was in psychodynamic counselling. To find out how this method works in practice, click here.
I specialise in a relatively new branch of therapy known as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. I offer EMDR supervision for therapists, either at the start of the training or for those working towards practitioner accreditation. Supervision sessions can be face to face, by phone or via Skype.
